Participated in attracting new applicants from Kazakhstan to CERGE-EI: local educational fairs, giving a video interview (in Russian with English subtitles below), and promotional presentations in Kazakh universities.
An interesting subject for me was Optimum Currency Area (OCA) as I discussed the integration documents drafts of selected CIS countries at a meeting of central bankers in Moscow, 2005. This was partly the reason why I chose a paper on East Asia as the possible OCA to present at the Professor Kenichi Ohno's excellent Workshop in International Economics (GRIPS, Tokyo, 2006).
